What standard are these VDI tool holders manufactured to?
All our VDI tool holders are manufactured strictly in accordance with the DIN 69880 industry standard, ensuring universal compatibility and precise fitment.
What is the surface hardness and core strength of the tool holders?
The tool holders undergo a complete case-hardening process. They feature a surface hardness of 58 ± 2 HRC and a robust core strength exceeding 1000 N/mm² to withstand demanding machining environments.
Are the critical clamping and alignment surfaces ground?
Yes. To guarantee maximum precision, the shaft, serration, seating face, locating bore, clamp plate, and locator bore are all ground to fine tolerances.
How does the internal coolant system work?
Coolant is supplied internally through adjustable ball nozzles. The setup features a modern clamp fixture design that allows for quick and precise adjustment of the coolant path.
Does it include an undercut for sealing rings?
Yes, in compliance with DIN 69880, the tool holders are built with an undercut at the shaft sealing face. This enables the use of an optional sealing ring depending on your process requirements.
